HiJack Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 We run a couple of headless servers at TAW and the new GUI interface on DCS World 1.5 is using over 50% of the CPU power just to show the menus. With the “Default theme” selected the menus will never show and the CPU usage is 100% all the time. You need to edit the settings.lua config file and use the Su-25T theme to have the menus show up. ["mainMenu"] = { ["skinName"] = "Su-25T by Eagle Dynamics1", }, Is it possible to create some lighter dedicated server menu system until you have finished the new dedicated DCS World server? I have provided some images but there are no error messages, so no logfiles, and the server is running stable when it is started. The headless dedicated server has a generic Microsoft Display adapter in Windows Server 2012. Is there anyone with headless dedicated servers that have other experiences? Thanks,
HiJack Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Got at least the CPU load down to 53% when server is idling. Still rubber banding aircrafts when on ground :(
Kuky Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Default theme uses the new clouds. They are VERY bad for FPS still so just don't use this theme... use anything else.
