Dr_Arrow Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Not a bug, all Su-25A takeoffs are mandatory to be performed with flaps in full down position according to RL flight manual . This flaps position is also originally named as take-off/landing position. See for example this video, empty Su-25, flap position switch is fully down: or even better:

Its needed (as is the leading edge flaps), because of the swept back wing, and high wing loading (more often found on the faster jets), You might find it useful to do a compare and contrast between the Frog and the Hog as they are both designed to fulfill the ground attack role - yet use disparate design philosophies to achieve the same ...
