Jazz_44 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Hi All, Tried to run DCS today and as soon as I run the exe I get an error stating that DCS World OpenBeta\bin\weather.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error... I tried to run a repair but it doesn't solve it. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks,

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 30, 2015 ED Team Posted October 30, 2015 Thanks Itael, what antivirus are you running? I would go for a fresh install if you have not already. Jazz_44 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 AVG Free. Never had any issues before. A fresh install of DCS is the only option?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 30, 2015 ED Team Posted October 30, 2015 you can try to delete the weather.dll and then do a repair it should replace it. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Jazz_44 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Thanks, deleting the weather.dll file and running a repair did fix the error but created a new exact one, this time for GraphicsXP.dll I guess I'll have to reinstall. Thanks for the help
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 30, 2015 ED Team Posted October 30, 2015 no problem let me know how you get on, bare in mind something must be happening either antivirus being overprotective or some other issue. Jazz_44 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Went through the process of deleting three more .dll files that DCS.exe complained about. Repaired again and managed to run the sim, only to briefly see the DCS logo on screen, which disappeared after a second. No error message and no DCS process either. Time for a reinstall of the beta...
