[RESOLVED]HELP! Cannot Start Game after update 11-7

Need help guys.

After applying the Open Beta update today, I can't start the game using desktop shortcut, start menu shortcut or double clicking on DCS.exe in game directory.

 

I managed to start it once and had to activate my MIG21.

 

Nothing happens when shortcut or double clicking the .exe.

 

Running Win 10 x64.

 

Non Beta copy of game runs fine and Open Beta ran fine prior to the update. I repaired the Open Beta copy to no avail.

 

Strange and I'm stumped.

 

Any help appreciated.

please attach your zipped open beta logs folder in the saved games folder and your autoupdate_log.txt which can be found in you open beta directory

 

we may find some clues in there

check your scripts folder

 

ERROR DCS: Error running \Scripts\server.lua: [string "Config/Weapons/aircraft_gun_mounts.lua"]:26: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'round_mass' (a nil value)

I had all mods disabled for the update.

What do you need me to do with the Scripts folder?

 

I don't have a Scripts folder in OpenBeta???

C:\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts find the server.lua and delete it then run a repair.

I run the Beta on "e" drive. Is that where scripts is located?

 

Ok, found scripts on e drive and deleted server lua..standby.

yes it will be in your open beta install

Ok, BIGNEWY, deleting the servicer lua file from scripts did it.

All appears well now.

Not sure of the cause, most likely a mod had edited the server.lua.

 

But good to see you have it fixed :)
