EOS and Radar lock on in Multiplayer

So I've noticed an issue in MP in 1.5, and this has been an issue i think since 1.2.

When you lock an enemy plane with the radar the enemy plane gets a radar lock warning, you then turn on your EOS and turn your radar off, now you are tracking the enemy plane only on EOS, the tracked plane continues getting a lock warning until you completely disable the lock, then the lock warning stops.

 

After that if you lock him just with EOS he will not get a lock on warning.

 

Can anyone confirm this?

 

It's a bit hard to test since it requires someone to help you.

Yes, this is an existing issue that has been ongoing since at least 1.2. Can a dev confirm whether this bug is being tracked internally?

Slightly OT: In the Su27 training it says that if you lock somebody with the EOS, and then turn on the radar to check if he is friend or foe, the enemy plane will not get an lock.. is that true ? if so, is this also a bug ?

That's how it is, you won't even appear in their RWR. Don't think it's a bug.

I could understand it if you quickly turn the radar on and off to IFF, but what if you just turn it on and keep it on? You still won't show up on their RWR? Does the radar go into some kind of TWS mode while the lock is maintained via EO only?

Supposedly just an IFF interrogator emission instead of radar lock.
