SageOT Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 So this latest video: https://www.funker530.com/a-10-warthogs-and-ac-130-kill-frenzy-116-isis-trucks-destroyed/ Looks like a broadcast SPI and markpoints like we see in game on the TAD, but in the TGP... Is this something newer A10's have now...? Seems pretty cool. Sage VFA-25 Fist of the Fleet[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Carrier Strike Group One | Discord

Sage In DCS also your TGP (not only TAD) can be your SPI generator (and you can broadcast it) and when your TGP is SOI the mark point will be created on what's intersecting the TGP LOS. Cool indeed
Ragtop Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 There's two possible answers here. A) It's on the newer suite jets and therefore not modelled in the DCS module. B) It was not approved by the government/Fairchild/various legal bodies for simulation. Some elements are not in the sim due to legal limitations. 1 476th vFG Alumni
Ragtop Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 When your TGP is SOI the mark point will be created on what's intersecting the TGP LOS. This is actually very useful for those that don't know - This allows more accurate marking of a target when being acquired (Mainly from shallower angles). This is because when the laser is not being employed, the actual point being marked is where the line of sight hits the ground behind the target. (New users often find this phenomenon to cause bombs to fall long on targets.) If you use the laser the point will be on the actual target itself. 476th vFG Alumni

I answered slightly off topic sorry about that :music_whistling:
SageOT Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 If only DCS had explosions like that..... We were just talking about that in my group. Those secondaries.... man. Figured it was a newer sensor suite, just thought it was... sweet. See what I did there... :) VFA-25 Fist of the Fleet[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Carrier Strike Group One | Discord

SageOT Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I'm sure it's in the manual somewhere but I've missed it. What suite is modeled in the DCS A-10C? EDIT: Never mind. Found one of your old posts Snoopy. Suite 3.... And, when can we get suite 8 in 2.0. :) j/k Thanks for the responses.
