Steam Vs. Stand Alone

For some reason, I am not allowed to add this to the Steam discussion for the 1.5 forum, so I am asking for feedback here. I apologize up front, if this is not the right place.

 

I have all the modules, both as stand alone and also in steam. Some I have several of the same modules beyond that so I try to support ED and the 3rd Party Developers.

 

Here is my question......In 1.5.x do I need a different account for my steam modules, that is separate from the stand alone module account, or does it really matter? I never mix them, as they are on totally different computers.

 

I hope I am asking the question clearly......:thumbup:

License Keys purchased from ED, no longer activate on Steam. But you can use your steam keys with stand alone.

 

or are you asking if your steam 1.5 and your steam 1.2.6 can run side by side?

OK, a few hours of sleep is good.

 

....... can Steam version on one machine, and stand alone on a totally separate machine use the same ED account, or should I create a different account for the steam keys? I am referring to having to log into an account in 1.5.xxx when starting DCSW.

you can use them on each machine no problem, each machine will use a key.

 

You just can not use them at the same time, that is when you need another account.
