Serial Error Message

I've recently been given a new module after winning a giveaway, and got the serial number as is, downloaded and installed said module. However, when trying to enter in the serial number, it tells me it's an invalid number. I've entered it in correctly again, and it still shows the same message. Is there a way to fix this issue?
