Captain James Kirk (not James T. Kirk) is in command of the new USS Zumwalt Destroyer. It's a new modern ship with a stealthy design, and the largest Destroyer we've ever built. It headed out for sea trials on Monday.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

What happened? Did the hull capsized and then they build the upper structure on it??

they use the reverse hull on the ddg 1000 series.

 

sadly the 4.4 billion doar tab caused the program to go from 30 or so to THREE ships.

 

effectively making it a tech demo platform for reverse hull, systems and rail guns.
