Serious Problem

Hello all, I have encountered a particuarly nasty problem with my 1.12a version of flaming cliffs. Namely, that the Su-25t has completely disappeared from the game. I mean, totally. It is no longer an option in the editor, either to fly or to place in your missions, I can no longer play any campaigns with the su-25t in it, as any su-25t's in the mission (including the plane you fly in) just disappears as well. It is no longer in the encyclopedia at all either.

 

What the hell? This happened once before rather inexplicable, so I reinstalled 1.1. I would rather not do that this time because of starforce issues. Has anyone else encountered this problem? How do fix it?

Did you install any addons?

I have installed quite a few skins, and I did install rugbutts sound add-on, but I installed no skins for su-25t's, and did not install any mods or add ons for weapons, missles or the the like. Essentially, I have used ModMan to install skins for most other aircraft except the Su-25T, but thats it.

I think the last time, I reinstalled 1.1 and I could see the Suy-25t, but I am hesitant to go down that road again given that after my last install the website said I only have 2 starforce activations left of 1.1. Which is a load of bs. Good choice on the Starforce guys.

 

I know there are ways around starforce that I have seen posted on this website, but I am personally unfamiliar with any of them

sounds like you modded to many pylons onto your -25T

Yeah, I just reinstalled lomac, 1.1. It seems to work now, I don't know why. Its interesting, tahts for sure. It seems to be there now. I never actually installed anything connected with the Su-25t, skins or otherwise.

Hi Zahael,

you mentioned that you have only 2 starforce activation attempts left - so backup it using the "Lock On v.1.1: Flaming Cliffs Activation Store Utility" which is available for download at http://www.lockon.ru/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en. You'll have your activation key stored and re-usable (untill major PC upgrade which requires new activation).

You wouldn't believe it, but it has happened again!!! The Su-25t was there, and I was flying it. I then went and played a Su-27 Capaign for a bit, and, a few online games, now its not!!! What the hell? In the meantime I didn't install any skins or the like. I don't want to reinstall LOMAC again!!! Does anyone else experience this? Help!!

U run a Winfast PX Geeforce 6800 GS with the latest drivers. I doubt that is a problem however, as I mentioned, it ran just fine for a fair while there.

No, not from anyone on these forums. As I said, it was a problem about 6 months ago, but an install seemed to fix it just fine. Well, I have just reinstalled FC's, so heres hoping it doesn't pop up again

Ok all, mystery solved. Turns out it was a problem related to a third party addon. After this last install, I went through and reinstalled every skin using modman, and the disappearing Su-25t problem related to Real Skins C-130 addon for 1.02 US. In particular, I think it related to the meinit.xml file in the pack relating back to the old version (1.02) as opposed to my current version, 1.12a. So yeah. Everyone can say i told you so.

 

I like this skins pack unfortunately. Does anyone know how to update the meinit.xml (if that is even what it is), or have an updated version of this skins pack that I could install? Cheers.
