When in editor set a group of vehicles and set five or six w/points for them to follow. if i want them to circle i should be able to click last w/point, clk advanced w/p action, perform task and then clk "switch waypoint" to select the w/point to enable them to circle but the "switch waypoint" command is missing.

Not a bug.

"Switch Waypoint" action is only implemented for aircraft.

Ok, so how do I get a "patrol or group of ground vehicles" to follow a circular route continuously; seems my question was only half answered, lol. thanks anyway.

Ground Units are missing this simple function. One can get them to do so with MIST and a little script. I only have a Link to a german tutorial but its understandable from only watching ;)

watched this video a dozen times, followed what guy did too the letter. truck goes around the block and stops. Just as normal, have mist script running but all is ignored. I give up. come devs, in arma 3 they just have a very simple 'cycle command'

Maybe, because of the age of the Video the Script does not work anymore. But i am sure if u search a little there is a functional one. The cycle command is requested so often i too dont understand why they impliment it.

thanks for the info Blaueente, I guess that the call for a cycle function is falling on deaf ears. a thought just came to me, how the hell do they manage in 'Combined Arms' ?

Oh well, such is life. back to static targets, lol

I just checked and the script is working.

Make sure u load Mist first. After that the mist.ground.patrol script and then add the "do script" to the last waypoint of the unit/group. be aware that the first and last waypoint should be close together.

Got it working, had to download latest version of 'mist' 4.0.55 thanks again for all your help. Still not sure where i should keep the mist files, at the Mo they are in 'saved games'.

The script file gets saved (if loaded per trigger) in the *.miz file as a copy of itself.

This means where u store the file has little to do with the mission working or not ;)
