j.sabo12 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Hi, You can find good documentation by reading the procedures section in the manual, it describes everything nicely, including numbering each switch. Tutorials are good too for learning how to start up and fly. Once you learn the start up procedure, it doesn't take more than two minutes from cold and dark to taxiing. No worries, if there's anything else, then ask :) Boeing 737 NG instructor at Simulator Centrum in Bratislava, Slovakia

humptydumpty Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) IAF is Mig 21 Bison :) I am from INDIA :) Edited December 16, 2015 by humptydumpty [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Attitude Power Trim Power Attitude Trim Wing Commander SWAC
TheSnark Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 IAF is Mig 21 Bison :) I am from INDIA :) As it may be, people will most likely think you are confusing it with this aircraft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myasishchev_M-4 Which has the NATO code name "Bison", compared to the Mig-21's codename being "Fishbed". Anyway, minor detail that is nice to know I suppose. Good luck with learning this wonderful craft!
PiedDroit Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I was thinking about MiG-21bison too, should have said "different version". And yes, would be nice to have :D
NeilWillis Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Starting a Bison... Give it some hay, then crack a whip over it's left ear. Once you get it over 10 MPH, the brakes are useless!
humptydumpty Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 Well pilots , I managed to start her up watching a you tube video :) this bird is so cool to fly. But yeah I am not getting the Landing gear to retract so all my flights were with the gear down making her more heavy and more drag. Got to check that landing gear stuff will try it later again. I never knew about the gear lock probably not to accidentally retract on ground I guess. Still haven't gone through the whole document. mattebubben Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 There are videos explaining it. But the Landing gear is the big Red lever in the front side of the cockpit. By default the lever is in the neutral position and there is also a safety lock on it so you will have to flip the lock before you can move the gear lever to the up position. And also while yes the Indian Bison is a variant of the Mig-21 its very different systems wise compared to the mig-21 bis we have ingame. But they did not call Mig-21s Bison untill the mig-21 Bison upgrade in the late 90s. So its not really correct to call the ingame Mig-21 a Bison since its not that variant of Mig-21. And their capabillities are extremley different.

I have seen the Mig's very close in vertical climbs when I was living very close to the air force and those exercises were almost every morning a fun thing to watch. way back in the '90s Thank guys appreciate all the help / info. humptydumpty Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 I think IAF has three variants of the Mig 21, But they shall all be phased by 2018 and possibly go with the Dassault Rafale not a bad aircraft [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Attitude Power Trim Power Attitude Trim Wing Commander SWAC
