Nooch Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Hello! I have a Sidewinder FFB stick and whenever I trim for the roll axis, my stick moves on the pitch axis. Basically roll trim acts as a second pitch trim. I've tried to check "swap axis" but it doesn't solve the problem. So far I know the issue is present in the Mustang and F-15C. But it may also be present in the su-25, etc. I tested the trim in other modules like the f-86 and mig-15 and it works fine there for some reason. I'm running the latest Open Beta 1.5.2, but the issue was present in 1.5.1 as well. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
dburne Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Ok so two things that would initially come to my mind: You do have FFB tick box checked in the Misc tab of the controller menu? Secondly, go in your axis input in the controller setup menu ( filter by axis), and look at all installed controllers - make sure there are no duplicate axis assignments. When I installed 1.5 it assigned the pitch axis for instance, to my warthog y axis as it should, but it also assigned it to a throttle axis, and my rudder axis. Did the same for the x axis as well. I notice you mention it happening in 1.5 - I know when I installed 1.5, it put a lot of crazy duplicate axis assignments in there by default. And one of the 1.5 updates wiped out the settings and did the same. Sometimes those duplicates are easy to overlook. Hope this helps, Edited December 16, 2015 by dburne Don B EVGA Z390 Dark MB | i9 9900k CPU @ 5.1 GHz | Gigabyte 4090 OC | 64 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz CL16 | Corsair H150i Pro Cooler |Virpil CM3 Stick w/ Alpha Prime Grip 200mm ext| Virpil CM3 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Base w/ Alpha-L Grip| Point Control V2|Varjo Aero|

Nooch Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) Just checked in 1.2.16 and trim works fine there so it's definitely got something to do with 1.5. I noticed also the f-15 rudder trim not working in 1.5. Also the autopilot altitude hold seems to not function at all. Edited December 25, 2015 by Nooch [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
