With disk space jumping from around 24Gb in 1.2/1.5 to 44Gb in 2.0 (with only the new Nevada map), is there an estimate yet of what space will be required for v2.0+ with both Nevada & Caucuses maps (old map) and eventually v2.0+ with Nevada and the replacement EDGE Caucuses map? Or even the other new maps?

It's not an idle question, I'm planning my next SSD upgrade. The new Nevada map appears to have a quite different file structure from Caucuses and is massive. Will other EDGE maps be like this?

Yes.

The more "Eye Candy" the users ask for the more space required to deliver upon that request. It is the same for the High Level 3d games on the market today. And I am loving every minute of it.

Always upgrade to the largest drive your money can buy. Which should be a lot considering you are running an i7 950 from yrs. back you have saved a lot of money with that wise choice alone.

This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. Well, buying a larger SSD isn't a problem but I'd like some measure of what would be sensible.

I do have 1.2/1.5/2.0 taking 93Gb of SSD. The key difference between 2.0 an the others is the /Mods/terrain/ folder which is approximately 25Gb larger than on 1.2/1.5. If that is a reflection of the EDGE maps then with Caucuses, Nevada, Hormuz and Normandy I'll need about:-

20Gb base game

4 x 25Gb for maps

= 120Gb (before any more maps or aircraft come out).

However Nevada may be subject to some major optimisation and could change so I'm hoping one of the devs will jump in here.
