NEODARK Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Seems that it's never ending. Stuff is really escalating over there right now. Rockets fly, violence escalates in Middle East Rockets fired from Lebanon hit a number of towns in northern Israel just hours after Israel bombed Beirut's airport. The escalation in violence came as Israel retaliated against Hezbollah guerrillas who kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. Israel also blockaded Lebanon's ports. Hezbollah is threatening to bomb Haifa if Israel attacks Beirut.
Pilotasso Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 More of the same stuff we've been watching over the decades. Reprisals over the other side own reprisals. .
suntrace1 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Throw some Iraq & Iran in the mix, pepper it with Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, a touch of Guantanamo - yes, very interesting times. Anyone watched Lord of War? That movie just wraps it up where we are right now.
ARM505 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 You know the saying "Evil prevails when good men do nothing?" It should have been "Evil prevails." I thought that saying from the movie was quite accurate. I've flown throughout Africa, including the countries from that movie, and I believe it. At least I didn't have any aircraft of mine get dismantled like that though!

christopher m Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Strange Times NK is pretty scary. Japan is taking them seriously. I wish someone would perfect MICRO UAV technology and fly one in his ear. Recommend: Joe Haldeman, "Mind Bridge" Frank Herbert, "Destination Void" David Brin, "Startide Rising" AA Attanasio, "In Other Worlds" in that order. Best Regards, [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christopher M
