DCS must go back to the older system now!

 

I see that there are so many problems with updates and installations. I am now considering to abandoning the DCS brand, this is because it is not even possible to install the software with the new installer. You must go back to the old system, because the new works bad or not at all. Then you could download the software separately, and the modules individually. Nothing works now.

There were some issues where the module installation did not go as smooth as it probably should, yes. But "nothing works"? erm, for you maybe? But if you don't say what the issues are ... well ...

I personally never had a problem with it. The built-in torrent client gives me download speeds of 5MB/s or more (yes, megabytes not megabits).

"nothing works" is not a very helpful statement.

I have tried to update in earlier 1.5 open beta without result, only error messages. And now when I try to install the 1.5 release I only get error messages, and the installation quit. So I don't know what to do.

The error messages is that another application is run. In beta I tried to install in windows safe mode to get the updater to work. I also tried to repair the update, but nothing works.

Had something similar, i left the error message on screen and copied the file manually and it worked. In my case it was dcs_updater itself if i remember correctly.

Im see no land.

 

Yesterday I tried to run the computer in "safe mode with network", and Before that I shut of F-secure and malwarebytes, but I get the same error message again, i.e. That Another process run. Well, I could be some light if I know what process it is, then I could have a Little opportunity to solve the problem. But I don't know what it is.:helpsmilie:

Have you tried deleting the destination file if it exists? The 'Autoupdate_templog_old.txt' file.

But you have rebooted your system at some point in time and the problem still persists?

Yes I have rebooted and tried a lot of options, latest was to try to disable or set in autamatic mode, the Application experience, that I saw in a thread here. I have also update the updater manually, i.e. downloaded the latest and replace it manually in bin. Also I have deleted the old log file.

Process Monitor

 

I just jokeing. I have no problem, but the computer is old. Intel I5 quad core+Nvidia560Ti+8GiG Ram. FPS is OK. I send a file from Process Monitor, same vendor as Process Explorer, a program there you can see what happens and "freeze it" after I start the Updater. I run it in "Show Process and Thread Activity" Sorry that I don't understand a thing of it, but perhaps someone does.
