DrDetroit Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Ha, pretty cool! Question; do you have MKII eyeballs on the guy or you just happen to see him when he was pumping flares? I was looking hard during the vid and couldn't see anything other than the smoke plume from the F-15s first shot (nice dodge BTW) and then later the flares...other than that I couldn't get a tally on the guy visually at all. Could be youtube compression killing the visuals. That's the hard part for me, getting eyeballs on the target is difficult, even when locked. Seems you can't see anything ever past 5nm-8nm or so, except the smoke plums and flares. Thanks for posting. DrDetroit
winchesterdelta1 Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 I did not see the guy. I expected him to be there. And suddenly i seen the flares, I was already in close combat mode. So it automatically locked when i put my nose over it and pressed the lock button. To use the radar missile in close combat mode you first have to switch to the Magic IR missile, press V and switch to the radar missile. In this instance the close combat mode was already engaged. It remembered the mode even after respawning. Also a good tip. Sometimes after your death and you go back up in the air your radar does not display any contacts. But if you press the lock button suddenly all the radar contacts show up. For some reason it remembers that radar mode as well after your death. 1 Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
