Neon67 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 So what is the backup for an ILS approach if the HUD is not working ? I don t see any glide path comming on the ADI ? ?
TomCatMucDe Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The ADI is still in WIP and not fully functional
3rd Wing - Raiden Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 In Cv NAV or Cm NAV on your HSI, the thin needle will indicate VOR/ILS bearing if the ILS frequency is well set and you are in range of the beacon. If everything is well set you should have a course deviation needle and a glidescope deviation needle one the ADI. If not, it's probably a bug or a feature not yet implemented. See Razbam Flight manual page 50 and 80-81 for more info.

Well, in fact IRL the HUD is not used as a primary instrument for ILS approach (despite all its magic features). Most often it the ADI used. Haven't tried in DCS though...
