What is Options-Controls-General-Axis for???

Why is there an 'Axis Commands' Category in the General Layer in the Control Options?

 

I can assign my Pitch, Roll, Rudder, Thrust, and other axis there, but what good is it? How is this used? I have assigned my controls there, and gone into new aircraft that I have not assigned, and they are still all screwed up. Every axis on every control is still assigned to all pitch. roll, yaw, and thrust Actions. So what is this possibly for??? :huh:

Good point. My guess is it's an unfinished option / WIP.

I was hoping that if I set it there it would apply to all aircraft, rather than the generic axis settings that get applied to all your controllers. Unfortunately it doesn't do that.

Yes, I hope it is a WIP and that at some point, if you have not assigned an aircraft, these settings would be a new default.

Something must be done to ease the load on a player to reconfig all modules whenever things change.

 

With 1-2 modules it is no big deal, with 4-6 it's somewhat uncomfortable, with all modules available it is a pain in the ... with all the versions installed it goes x3 on a bad day.
