Minor mission editing of "Enemy Within"

I downloaded and tried the beginning of this campaign, and it is a superb product allowing us not only enjoy combat excitement, but also learn so much more about A-10C capabilities -- well beyond what was taught through the Training Missions.

I read multiple threads/messages asking the Baltic Dragon for a multi-player version of this campaign. I realize that it is not easy to make that conversion/upgrade.

There might be a solution to this issue for those of us who have experience with Mission Editor, and are willing to make minor changes to this campaign if Baltic Dragon allows "Save" and "Save as" be activated.

I took a number of single-player missions that came with the product (in this case with A-10C) and converted them into 2-player missions by changing "Player" to "Client" and adding another "Client" for a buddy of mine with whom we flew many different flight sims as far back as in 90s with Jane's products and Novalogic's "Comanche."

All I am asking here is a minor update to the "Enemy Within" that will allow me to replace the "Player" and 1 AI with 2 "Clients." The only other change I might make is to choose a payload of my choice tailored for missions we fly.

I hope Baltic Dragon can allow us to do it.

Hey Dracula1,

 

If you own the campaign and if you want to edit it to by flyable for two players for your own use, I don't see a problem with it - as long you don't publish / redistribute it. I know that MP version would be / is fun, although without some further adjustments some of the comms etc. might be a bit awkward.

 

As I mentioned before, in a few weeks I will run a poll here to choose 5 top missions to be converted to MP, and there I'll make sure that all feels right + perhaps I will throw in an extra tasking or move the enemies a bit to keep the element of surprise.

Thank you for getting back to me on my request. Yes, I own this campaign and will gladly provide the serial number for it.

As I mentioned, all I need is the ability to save minor changes to your hand-crafted missions. I have no intent of profiting from your product. And I will not share the edited missions with anyone except my long-time wingman, Rick Rocket, who is a loyal customer of Eagle Dynamics from the days of "Lock-ON..." and "Flaming Cliffs."

 

If you wish, we can communicate through private messages, and I'll prove to you that I'm not some fraud!

One of the best missions that would be nice in multiplayer is the CSAR of the downed F16 pilot. I have flown it over and over again in the freeware version. I just couldnt stop. I am still not there yet in the payware version.

I Own it and would love to make it MP for myself and a buddy (who also owns it) but it doesnt give me the option to save or save as in the ME. Am I missing something?

DLC are not editable, so it's normal if you can't edit and save them

Check this poll - I am planning to add 5 missions chosen by the community to the next patch for TEW. It will still take some time (I don't want to get too deep before the merge between 1.5 and 2.0 as this may cause some problems to some of the missions) - so pick your five!
