How does one post/embed pictures?

If I try to use the "Insert Image" in the tool bar (right ^^ here :D) I get a hyperlink to he image. The picture is not embedded.

 

If I cut and paste the picture, it looks OK until you try to post it. Whereupon the picture gets converted to a long list of uuencoded looking strings.

You have to place the link between image tags to make it show up.

(img)link(/img) where the round brackets () are replaced by square brackets []

I've seen the things you tried in my mail. The way you do it will not work.

 

Just use the link to the image and place it inbetween image tags, nothing more to it.

Use this: (IMG)http://your-link/image.jpg(/IMG) and replace the () brackets by square ones []

Thank you! I think my test didn't work (although the picture showed in the editor) because it was a link and not a JPG file.

 

For example, I tried what you said:

 

(img)https://app.box.com/s/jq3t8l8tf0y5klfdg3v0cw8menfl3yoo(/img) /* but with brackets */

 

And it didn't work. :)

 

Next time, I'll post the jpg and get it to work.

Yup, your picture file (jpg, bmp or png) must be included in the link, otherwise it doesn't work.
