PE_Tigar Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Issue: When selecting a unit on MP unit selection screen units within the list are stacked randomly (see attached image). Although it may seem trivial, it caused us a lot of trouble when flying a mission yesterday - we've created a flight of four M2000Cs, and changed default radio frequencies only for the first two units (Colt 1-1 and Colt 1-2 in the mission editor). But once the first two units in the selection screen were chosen, the preset radio freqencies were different for the two planes... The most logical solution would be to have the selection screen rank the units within the flight according to their place in the flight, as in the mission editor. Could we have that please?
Wrecking Crew Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I put the flight number in the group name to keep everything sorted. WC Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
PE_Tigar Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 I put the flight number in the group name to keep everything sorted. WC Thanks for the suggestion - so every airframe is its own group then?
HiJack Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I believe the list will sort better if you use all three digits in the flight number. For instance A-10C flight of four as flight 320 (group number) and each aircraft in the group of four as 321, 322, 323 and 324. This way you will have the table sorted as you specify. EDIT: You use 3 digits for all aircraft groups so continue this on both red and blue sides.
