tintifaxl Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 After installing alternate textures and setting the noise to 0.5 to make the TGP more useable in 1.5.2 I continued with the campaign and had a problem with Hammerfall 2: The waypoint Echo2 is not on the position of the checkpoint but somewhere on the surrounding mountainside. I was not able to spot the location of the checkpoint (I even checked from different directions and altitudes in active pause with the TGP - no dice) and had to resort to labels to find them. Don't know if that's a bug or intentional, but I think it should not be that hard. Maybe let Echo2 pop some smoke? Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.

bzhnono Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Hi there, I made my 5th attempt for hammerfall 2 (Mission 5) yesterday evening and I've got a problem. I keep getting shot by a SAM at the first camp even if I'm a 19000ft which is normally high enough to avoid all threat. Am I missing something there ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
baltic_dragon Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Remember that they are quite high themselves (around 5 or 6 000 feet IIRC). Just don't go too close to them :) you can always send (and actually you should do that) the Georgian planes to bomb the area after you destroy one of the trucks to mark the target (Maverick will do the job). tintifaxl Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 Is there a trick for the SU-25s to hit anything? In my two replays of this mission, the Su-25s bombs always fall short. Me and my wingie have to mop up. One more thing - the first time around I completely missed Pontiacs first target coords. baltic_dragon Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Not much I can do about the AI, although I admit the skill level of Georgians is not on Excellent, so they won't hit every time. That is intentional :) and leaves more fun for the player. Adding "repeat coordinates" is possible, though I am not sure if I can get a VO for that.. Will see what I can do! I can confirm that the georgian SU25 don't help very much but they manage to kill the manpads. The most difficult part was to get the trucks but with the help of superspotter/wingmen it's easier. Now I'm on the 3rd part of the mission :) (I've done some screenshots but need some work before posting as my TAD also captured (2 monitor setup).) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
