If after landing you select full back stick you can hold the nose up to 0 forward speed. You should of course run out of elevon authority at some stage.:)

I agree, but; Is the Mirage tail heavy? I'm asking because RL aircraft weight and balance is also part of it, not that I think they modeled that, just wondering.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

In the same topic delta wings have a huge Cm (nose down) pitch trend proportional to the ground effect and remaining important once touched down with high AOA. Current FM doesn't reflect it currently in "direct control mode" without FBW.

I think I done this with the A-10C as well. I have no weapons left and low on fuel. I was trying to see how long I could hold the nose up, then it would not come down. I had to tap on the brakes. Never tried again.

Nope, I lied;

Tried on the A-10C, kept nose up until 39 knots.

SU-27 was 67 knots.

SU-33, my exhaust hit the ground and I caught on fire.

There is no such thing as a "direct control mode" on the M-2000, nor "without FBW" mode.

I could have sworn it did happen to me in the A-10C as well. Landing with weapons and mostly empty tanks I think. You have to pull the nose up after landing until you almost hit the ground with your tail. Then as you get slower and slower keep some pressure on the stick. You can get very slow that way. (and might strike the ground) Not zero though.

In the A-10C, it will be different if you have gun ammo or not.

AFAIK, the RL A-10C is tail heavy if the gun is not fully loaded ( not by much) and if you work on the gun, you have to put an aircraft jack underneath the tail. This is more of a weight and balance thing. Is this the case in DCS as well? Landing without gun ammo, does it make it tail heavy?

In the Mirage 2000, is it the controls or is it a weight and balance thing as well or a combination?

there is no possibility to be in ultime secours mode currently? I tested with the fbw dpin control sw in Vrille position but you are right, there is still some fbw input in that mode.

I should test with the CDVE 5 guarded sw open.
