hannibal Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 no, its all about functionality. you have two LFE's?? how many amps do you have lol i like the setup! especially the spring isolators, pretty genius if youor maximizing on shake tactile-ness. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Brewnix Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 As the amplifier is Mono (not a regular Hi-Fi Amp) you'd need 2 such Amps... which I thought about trying but it would be another $500 on top of getting second transducer, which I thought was a lot also considering I would be using double the power, cables and need more space (right now amp is just sitting on the floor, so adding second I would either have to put second on top but I didn't like this in case heat from bottom amp would go towards the top one, but I might do some day later on as SimShaker has 2 working channels :music_whistling:) So what I've done is put the 2 transducers in parallel on same channel. Sound cards are not too expensive so wasn't too much to do it, plus motherboard sound I never used came in handy for the ButtKicker. Ok I see thanks. Thats cool.. I was brain storming one day. wondering if its a possibility to hook amps up to the right and left surround sound receiver. If I am not mistaking you can turn off the subwoofer port and the stereo should send the bass to the front speakers. as if it was just a 2way system with three way speakers. I am thinking right I remember that some one posted in a thread on a amp card that was not too expensive but could handle 4 transducer in independent of each. Got do some digging [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kuky Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 i like the setup! especially the spring isolators, pretty genius if youor maximizing on shake tactile-ness. Reason I put in the springs was to allow the seat to travel more freely. When the seat was fixed to the board on which the seat is on, the shake was not as pronounced. Now I am thinking maybe I should have 2 boards underneath, with springs in between them, instead of springs in between the board and a seat... maybe sometime later :) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
