Install MSI-Afterburner, check virtual memory to show in OSD and watch how DCS alwas uses around 10-12GB swapfile, regardless of what u selected in OS.

Ram and Swap is always about half/half. 10-12 GB each according to MSI.

Mind you, countercheck in taskmanager and it says about 3GB for Dcs all the time whereas it consumes well beyond 10GB

All tests done online @ 104th in Ka-50

No, that's not how the OS works. If it hasn't enough memory it will start using the page file, but if you have 16 GB it has no reason to do so unless you are loading it with other processes. The processes, if they have the permission to do so, can lock virtual memory meaning it will not be paged. So I'm not sure how you can tell it's always half-half...

As you can see in this case, it only took 7 GB of peak (private) memory, so it can't use 10-12 GB of page file.

Also, even when there is no page file, the same symptoms are seen.

Obviously this thread is going haywire, I'll wait until it's calmed down before posting any more results.

I've added the log files in my previous post, in case it helps.

Rgr have all proper settings in nvidia control panel,

I always shutdown steam before running Dcs I don't have steam version of Dcs. Like I posted earlier this is first stutters I experience and that is in red flag a10c. On 104th 2.0 server runs good even though fps is lower due to the 476 mission and the mass amounts of objects added in that mission.

My conclusion would be in campaign maybe all the objects, ai, scripts is just causing the hiccups, then the lower fps in 476 Nevada mission is again due to mass amounts of objects. I have afterburner running to my Logitech keyboard screen and see that it's not a gpu weakness problem but on the cpu side of the house is where it gets hammered.

I truly see this when I run in 3D on my other tv with no vsync frame rate is cut in half and I see this obviously due to 3D just doubled the amount of objects and the cpu has a heart attack about it. This is what I have seen and hence why I just gave up on 3D in edge even with the mod to fix 3dvision.

So with 4K my frames are much higher compared to 3D, if you check my post history I also have found that sli will in fact double the frame rate in certain situations in 2.0.

So this stutter in red flag is new to me I will get past mission two and see how thing progress but 2.0 is super smooth for me in many other missions but red flag is not so I think as far as us testing and figuring this out that should be the focus, is it the mass amount of scripts and objects? Or is it just a matter of ya it's alpha and it will get refined some more. It's playable as is but yes it's annoying it's easier to fly with it after a few beers though lol.

Yes they run 100 percent all the time from the overclock settings and I also did the core un park thing and only listed two as not un parked made no difference in Red Flag

Yes like I said graphically I'm not being hit its cpu side so I will drop down draw distance to medium and check I did notice it was smother still not 100 percent smooth stutter wise with draw to high this again is mission two red flag

Lol weird the stutters actually got worse when I set it to medium draw distance and half the pre load radious, no not running any antivirus when running Dcs. Frame rate did not increase either. It's always in mid to upper 40's facing Vegas taxing down to takeoff and every 5 to 10 seconds stutter. Mission 2 red flag a10c

No offence Enduro14 and Gazmonalpha but could you start sending each other private messages? Question and answers are directly to each other so please continue private to keep the thread clean.

I second that, please read the "how to report a bug", and Bignewy's post: be complete, post the ingame settings, the system specs (from the latter, it seems the logs and msinfo are desirable too).

This long private conversation burries earlier reports and will just discourage the support. Thanks! :)

Yes I apologies for that, seems this problem isn't going away easily? And until we get some proper solutions I will be giving this thread a miss

I can only say that my rig pulls 10/10GB roughly, RAM/Swap when flying DCS.

Screenshot will follow when at desk.

I noticed that Civilian traffic to off doesnt do a thing.

See picture :

Also i wonder what makes it so that when i fly alone i have 0 problems at all and as soon as other aircraft are involved all hell breaks lose... Are the aircraft and scripts that are being used to make the red flag campaigns so hardware intensive ? I cant get my mind to understand how a few aircraft and scripts bring so much stuttering along.

Are the scripts causing alot of errors underneath where the code is hard at work to just jump over and continue on? Because if that is the case i can imagine the sim having a hard time. Alot of extra resources needed just to evade and keep going while being hammered by errors is like a toddler clinging on your leg while trying to move as fast as possible.
