mytai01 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I've seen F-15 afterburners at night. They are much much brighter (blue too) than in this game...and longer (about 3/4th of the A/C length)! They also light up the surrounding area. None of this is true of DCS World 1.2-2.0. I seem to remember at least seeing the AB light up the aircraft at night a little...what happened? Will lighting affects every be addressed in the future? BadHabit Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Nothing illuminates as it should right now. Taxi or formation lights. Mig's flashlight doesn't illuminates the periscope or any surface close to the cockpit glass.. Doughboy Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I think all of the lighting out of the cockpit is way too dim. Its like you're flying around at night in a welding helmet. Go Ugly Early! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mytai01 Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 i believe it is something with settings high, medium or low. different effect on afterburners. I checked that. It's not. Light is not done very well at night. Light source intensity should increase as the overall daylight decreases intensity Including during daytime cloudy conditions. During bright sunny days afterburners plums are almost non-existent. Even the color of the plum is affected by the intensity of sun light. I guess the blueness of the plum is invisible in bright sunlight.
