Module manage via in game on STEAM

I'm coming back to dcs after few months cause of that big changes and noticed that having DCS on steam (ver. 1.5) I dont have in game manager to buy new modules. So my question is, should I consider steam as a platform that will not support new and future modules on DCS?

i don't think so

anyway, you can install a standalone dcs into steam version and use that updater install ED store's modules.

The steam version will support new modules. It just does not use a module manager since Steam already has a sales application and they don't want one that sends you outside of Steam.

If you use the steam version, you should buy all modules directly from steam. Modules on steam will be released with a short (and sometimes a bit longer) delay compared to the standalone version of DCS.

 

If you want all modules as soon as they are released, you should switch to the standalone version.

Steam Uses their own Store and Content Manager.

 

There was Never a Module Manager on the Steam Distribution.

Yea Im aware that STEAM has their own store only rule but was kind of not sure how to understand statement from last newsletter:

 

"Note. All products (modules) should be installed via ingame Module Manager only. Dedicated installers will not be provided anymore."

...I wondered whether ED does not end cooperation with the Steam (Valve)

That was directed to Standalone Users that Use EDs shop/Installers.

 

with every update ED used to compile separate installers for DCSWorld, and each module.

 

They are no longer doing that. (Compiling new installers for everything).
