So the first mission in Red Flag has you taking up CAP duties with strict ROE.

Cool.

However, each time I play it, I fail because I've went past the FEBA. But when I checked the map in the Mission Editor, the first waypoint is way over near the Bullseye...well past the FEBA.

If I follow the mission waypoints, I will fail everytime.

Is it a mistake in the mission creation? Or am I meant to "use my noggin" and not approach waypoint 1? Perhaps I'm meant to change the waypoint in the mission editor?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Thank you.

So if I read correctly, WP1 is used to identify the Bullseye and should be avoided...meaning head straight to WP2?

Yeah, if you check the F15C-RF-MSN-1-MAP.pdf file you see the flightpath on the map. The F-15C has no other way to give you the Bullseye (BE) as WP.

pdf file in your folder or here.

Yeah I've got the documents. I also noticed the WP was over the BE...I just didn't know why.

Right out of the briefing pdf:

Normally, BE is represented by the first tactical SP (as opposed to navigational SP), which for this mission is SP1. So, for this mission, be sure to go straight to SP2 once the mission starts – if you forget and fly to SP1, you will cross the FEBA and cause a major international incident…or worse!

Did anyone else notice that the line up card has you as Ford-4 and in game you are Ford-3? Confused me on the first mission when the call for Ford 3 to RTB came thru...
