Cobra360 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Its an old issue, ED knows about it. The Su-27 has the same issue with the leading edge flaps on the player and AI models. The F-15's intakes are variable but are not properly modeled in Lockon.

Duxa Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 I give up ? What's the difference ? the wingman's (computer's) F15C has angled down intakes.. while mine (player's) are horizontal to the ground.
Camoman Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 kk ty.. was just curious which way are they supposed to be IRL? angled or streight? Was my understanding that the angle is dependant on AoA and will adjust to get the best airflow at whichever angle the aircraft is at. So to answer you question both IRL just depending on the situation. On the runway they will be straight as the AoA is lowest and at a high alpha manouver the will face down so the oncoming airflow can enter as efficiently as possible. Not associated with the planes just my understanding from intuition and so if ya got a better answer or if im wrong:doh: then go 4 it. =IronAngels= Http://www.ironangelslockonsquad.com Iron Angels Lockon Squad Iron Angels: The Proud, The Few, The Elite
Black_Hawk Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Dunno about the high AOA but as you increase thrust they fully "open" (when you engage the afterburners). 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Black_Hawk Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Hm, they look like swept down a bit. But look in the game - engage burners and they will fully extend (0-3000m, dunno about higher altitudes, haven't tried it). 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
