codefox Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 After taking a look at this video, it seems to me as if the approach mode on the HUD should engage as soon as the airspeed drops below 200 knots. Can anyone confirm or deny this assumption? I don't think the pilot would engage the approach mode prior to ejecting. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I hope there is other parameters, since the Landing Gears alarm is already too anoying currently...

I thought it might be fixed with the latest update but it wasn't. Additionally, the heading shown on the HUD is off by about 5 degrees. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
IvanK Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) Yeah.. I thought it might be fixed with the latest update but it wasn't. Additionally, the heading shown on the HUD is off by about 5 degrees. Regarding heading It might tbe displaying in True .... also the heading on the main AI is frozen. As too approach mode engaging at 200Kts .... bummer if you were in a scissors and it dropped into Approach mode :) Maybe as soon as the gear goes down would be logical. Yeah if its anything like the Typhoon, it'd go into APP mode as soon as the gear is lowered Mechanical Aircraft Technician - RAF Pilots licence - LAPL (A+S) Intel I7 6700K @4.8GHz / MSI RTX 2080 Gaming trio / 32Gb DDR4 3000MHz RAM
codefox Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 Yeah if its anything like the Typhoon, it'd go into APP mode as soon as the gear is lowered This would also reflect the behavior of most modern US military planes. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
