Coffee999 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 If you are sure it's the USB that's messing up, then go into the device manager and unistall that USB, and restart. The computer will reboot, see the USB but no driver, and reinstall the driver automatically, and go from there. If you aren't sure it's the USB, and might be the pedals, then plug something else into that USB and see if it works. If it does, then it's your pedals. If fact, you should try this first before uninstalling the USB. Good luck.
graywo1fg Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 hmm ok i'll try it Voice of Jester AI Death From Above =DFA= Squadron Discord - https://discord.gg/deathfromabove http://www.twitch.tv/graywo1f https://www.youtube.com/user/Lonewo1fg

NEODARK Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 The one thing people tend to forget is that these things run on low voltage. If you run a USB hub that's not powered you'll get "Windows doesn't recognize" messages. I recommend using a Belkin powered hub. I have a 7 port Belkin and I run 5 CH devices, a mouse and a keyboard off of it. I cringe at the thought of your task manager processes :P
Coffee999 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I have 2 installs on this rig. The "everyday" install is Windows on a SATA drive with all my programs on it (no games). My game install is a RAID 0 on dual Raptors. There's nothing else on that install but my games. Plus, I have everything turned off in Windows on the game install. Last time I checked there were 13 items running in Task Manager on the game install. 13 items running in Task Manager, that's a great number! I have after my restore is 20. It usually goes up from there as time goes on, but I have always kept it down to the absolute nessesary. How are you doing this again Rugg? I would like to hear more.
Coffee999 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Do a Google search for Black Viper's Tweaks. His site is down but someone has it cached so you can see what he recommends. Alot of his minimal tweaks will ruin your day if you use just one install for everything (including gaming). But since I have both installs it's not an issue. And I was wrong, it's 14 processes. I forgot that NOD antivirus runs a program in the background that keeps someone from doing registry changes on you. I also use FS Autostart to stop the other stuff I don't need when I fly, such as my Ergodex (which I use for FPS' only). Thanks, I'm familiar with Viper, but his site has been down for at least a year. You mention Both installs. Can you add to that some? Both installs of what? I currently run everything from C: Have an external HD that holds all my personal files. Is it a virtual drive you are runnign your gamming config from? Thanks, Coffee
graywo1fg Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Yea i also use FS auto start... great program.. what are these teaks your talking about? do they just automaticly shut stuff down in the task manager? graywo1fg Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 So how big of a difference does it make in game? big or little compared to the way FS autostart effects it? Sleek Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 That sounds a great idea..bear with me..i guess u have to install windows seperately on ur RAID 0 set up as well, then boot seperately when u wan't to play games?. Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)
SailorDoc1 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I just picked up a pair of CH Pro Pedals. I have had them working in the past but recently upgraded mobo and cpu. I have had a brain melt down and can't remember how I got the toe brakes to work. The rudders work fine, I just cant seem to get the brakes to work. Can someone shed some light or possible send me a copy of their map? Appreciate the help.
