Is there a way to mute RWR Newest Threat sound ?

i mean like really literally my ears are going to explode because of this RWR

I'd like to know that too. I keep thinking the same thing but haven't looked in the key mappings at all. It does get annoying.

Two options.

 

First one is NOT advised, which is, you can turn the RWR completely OFF by pressing Rshift+R. With this setting enabled you will only get a RWR warning when an aircraft / SAM locks you, hence why its not a great idea to fly around with this setting.

 

Second option is much better!

 

Press Ralt+, to turn the RWR volume down (keep pressing it to mute it) now you can still see all the threats on TEWS but you wont hear the beeps.

 

Press Ralt+. to turn the RWR volume back up again.

 

I normally mute my RWR totally when I start in the aircraft, once I have taken off and commited to the fight down range I turn it back up again, I also mute it when I'm RTB.

Could anyone tell me, please, how to disable the RWR sounds ?

I'd like to replace the sound files but I'm affraid, it's not possible anymore, with the 2.5.6 version
