pimp Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Hello All, I have a quick question. Lets say I want to create a mission in the A-10C on a cold start. How do I spawn with enough time to complete a cold start before takeoff time? For example, spawn 10 minutes before the takeoff time. It's not making sense to spawn on your takeoff time with a cold start to perform. This makes you late to your waypoints. I hope I'm being clear here. Steggles Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I'm guessing all you're after is setting the mission time in the ME xx minutes before your briefed takeoff time. This is set in the briefing area in the ME. -16AGR- 16th Air Guards Regiment is always looking for pilots - http://www.16agr.com EWRS - Early Warning Radar Script Specs: Gigabyte Sniper Z5-S Intel i5-4670k 3.4GHz OC'd 3.9GHz w/ Thermaltake 120mm Water 3.0 Pro Liquid CPU Cooler 16GB RAM Gigabyte GTX 1080 TM Hotas Warthog: SN: 06976 Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals TrackIR5 with TrackClipPro & Oculus Rift 2x 28" 4k UHD Monitors (3840x2160 each) + 1280x1024

This is set in the briefing area in the ME. Thank you for your reply, but unfortunately I'm still confused. I guess indirectly I'm comparing this to BMS-Falcon, to where you can commit to your flight up to 20 minutes before your briefed takeoff time to do a ramp start. Then, you taxi to the runway when it's time to takeoff. Is this not how the mission editor in DCS works? Per your instructions, I set the mission briefing time to 16:50 and my flight start time to 16:40. Is your start time the same as your takeoff time? mwd2 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 No, this is not possible in DCS. In the mission editor (ME) you can setup your aircraft to - Takeoff from ramp (full cold aircraft on the parking place/hanger) - Takeoff from parking Hot (all systems running, but you still standing in the parking place/hanger) - Takeoff from runway (standing on the runway and ready for takeoff) but you cannot use fastforward to jump from Ramp to Taxi! The time, you set into the ME is the mission start time - there is no modification - if you want takeoff at 16:50, you need to start your mission at 16:40, if you are able to startup and taxi your aircraft in 10min (if you start from RAMP)!
