Mission Editor : Possible BUG

I was trying to setup a JTAC mission with A10C. I was in the process of setting up a Osa site within certain Trigger Zones. As soon as I set the Osa unit the Trigger Zones disappered.

 

You can check the screenshots.

 

1st picture depicts the Trigger Zones.

 

2nd picture & 3rd picture - this is what happened after I setup the Osa unit.

 

Is this a BUG?

Check the View Trigger Zones in the Mission Editor to check their sizes and if Hidden.

 

Not heard of this before. What version DCS are you running, v1.5?

I am running version 1.5.2 updated to the latest patch.

 

The trigger zones sizes 150000 & they are certainly not hidden.

 

I am attaching screenshot.

 

As soon as I setup the Osa site & if I click my mouse around the Osa unit the Zones are disappearing like smoke. :(

Kindly refer to the mission file in the attachment.

 

As I was adding the Osa site over the trigger zones -

 

1. The Threat Zone of the Osa site was not visible.

2. As I clicked over the Osa unit the Trigger Zones started to disappear one by one. (refer screenshot above)

3. Now the Threat Zone of the Osa site was visible without the Trigger Zones. (refer screenshot above)

4. Now as I saved the file, the trigger zones was visible again.

 

My System : i5 3.1Ghz, Gainward GTX 650 1GB VRAM, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Win 7 Ultimate SP1

Ahhh, ya ya, the trigger zones are rather transparent until you Save the mission in the ME.

Hi apolloace,

 

I can not reproduce on my machine, everything seems normal.

 

Try this.

 

Go to your saved games dcs folder and delete the missioneditor folder, then restart dcs, it will create a new one.

 

if you are still having the same issue please attach your whole logs folder zipped, incase we can find any clues in them.

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor

Create a new trigger zone -- I use Yellow color. The zone will be much more transparent until the mission is saved.
