Hi Everyone,

Building a system from scratch… looking to purchase a new motherboard/Intel processor for DCS/Oculus. Budget around a grand for motherboard/chip. What are most of you leaning towards for high end systems?

Although this isn't advice on specific hardware, check out pcpartpicker.com if you haven't already. They have lots of example builds for low, mid, and high end systems. It also allows you to "build" our own on paper and will point out any compatibility errors with any hardware you've selected. It will also point you to which dealer has the lowest prices on that item at the time.

Thanks for the advice gents! I was trying to find out what the consensus is on anyone getting ready to purchase or has just purchased a new high end motherboard! There has got to be a top 5 or so board and processor combo that the majority here have been eyeing... or maybe not.
