Hello

I am a big Fan of the MiG 29 and i think the best type of this Fighter is not in the Game.

I know its not easy to make a aircraft but I think you can look to the MiG 29AS for the Game.

I mean Its have fully NATO compatible Avionics. It has new systems and Beacon lights. And the digital Camo its amazing. The G version is also in the game but the AS have so many features. Its have Comm,ILS,Tacan all what need a modern fighter.

- Installation data bus MIL-STD-1553B (which makes it possible for this model to carry out continuous modernization of avionics just replacing legacy systems with new ones)

- Installation of new identification system "foe" type BAe Systems AN / APX-113 (V) - which consists of an interrogator (with a range of 46 km and the extent of coverage of ± 65 °), which uses five smallish comb antennas FS-X fMAS and transponder with antenna type AM-002MH (while the first four antennas FS-X fMAS are placed side by side on the back of the bow hull directly behind the dielectric covers radar fifth antenna FS-X fMAS is located on the belly of the bow hull directly for a dielectric radar cover)

- Installation of a new type of digital radios Rockwell Collins AN / ARC-210 (V), which uses one antenna type Smith 10-150-11 (which has the shape of a sloped rectangle located on the back of the fuselage just behind the cockpit canopy)

- Installation receivers VOR / ILS / GS / MB type Rockwell Collins AN / ARN-147 (This device uses four differently shaped brass grid antennas, which are secured to the inside of the nose dielectric radome)

- Installation TACAN navigation system type Rockwell Collins AN / ARN-153 (V), which uses a pair of smallish triangular antenna type Smith 10-222-19 (while one of them is located at the back of the fuselage, just behind the antenna radio AN / ARC- 210 (V), the latter is placed on the abdomen front of the fuselage, just behind the antenna identification system "foe" AN / APX-113 (V))

- Modified dashboard replacing black and white TV type indicator IPV-2 with one color LCD multi-function display (MFD) of MFI-54 Russian brands Rossiyskaya avionics, buildings control panel type PUS-29M the same brand in the base HUD and calibrate all indicators on the metric measurement system Imperials

- Installation of a flash beacon German Hella on the back of the fuselage and a flash beacon of the same type on the belly of the left engine nacelle

Thats the Features of the Mig29AS/UBS. I hope noone ask for this thing.

Mig29AS/UBS

I'm not familiar with the mig29 specifics, but I'm guessing this is a late model version. If that's the case then you won't get it. You may have noticed that all of the aircraft modeled are older versions. That's for a reason. Older versions have more publicly available info, and advanced computer avionics are harder to simulate to DCS levels. Even the coming F18 is an older variant -not the super hornet.

Also newer stuff is classified

it's a 2005 update. The thing is that this is not a russian update but a slovakian one. The update intended to make the avionics comply with NATO systems. It still has all the old weapons. most changes are "under the hood" things like IFF and a digital processor, although there is a new MFD, too.

If we where to get a new 29 variant I'd like to see a BM or SM. Strike fighter/multi-role with precision weapons to give some competition to upcoming multi-roles like the hornet :)

Check my F-15C guide

Finally! a thread in support of the FULCRUM.

The current state of the Mig29 in DCS is so poor, that I would take any version they make which replicates the fidelity of A10C. :)
