strikers_blade Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) I did not find anything in the threads so far (perhaps my search is too broad) but are there any plans to merge the whole 1.5 content with 2.0 ?! For example, maps, campaign, etc? I read somewhere that 1.5 Beta will be merge into 2.0 when the 2.0 will become Beta version. Is it correct to assume this is when everything will get transferred (modules, terrains, campaigns, etc) ? BaD CrC Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Well, that's kinda the objective from day one. They released a 2.0 alpha for us to play with NTTR but ultimately, the final version will merge everything up. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
strikers_blade Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 I would indeed imagine that. I just wanted to make sure it was still the plan before I invest into 1.5x modules . ;) My systems: Windows 10 64 bits I7-8700k 32.0 GB RAM 500Gb SSD Asus ROG 2080ti HP Reverb Windows 10 64 bits I7-6820HQ CPU @ 2.70Ghz 32.0 GB RAM 500Gb SSD Nvidia Quadro M4000M TrackIR 5

strikers_blade Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Actually the modules are good for both versions, so there's no real reason to wait. Frank Well, I have a problem then. I bought the special few weeks ago (the A-10, MIG and their respective campaigns and they only show up in my 1.5.2. I got the option to install on the 1.5.2. but they are not "recognized" in 2.0 What am I doing wrong? Vitesse2l Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Have you logged in to 2.0? Silly question... I've noticed the last couple of updates to 1.5 have copied information from my 2.0 install, so they should be moving closer together.
strikers_blade Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Silly but valid Vitesse2l :D and yes, I actually installed and logged in 2.0 first, then took care of 1.5.2 with the known results. On a side note, DCS websites says that the campaigns are for 1.2 or 1.5 but nothing about 2.0 http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/a-10c_enemy_within_campaign/ My systems: Windows 10 64 bits I7-8700k 32.0 GB RAM 500Gb SSD Asus ROG 2080ti HP Reverb Windows 10 64 bits I7-6820HQ CPU @ 2.70Ghz 32.0 GB RAM 500Gb SSD Nvidia Quadro M4000M TrackIR 5

On a side note, DCS websites says that the campaigns are for 1.2 or 1.5 but nothing about 2.0 http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/a-10c_enemy_within_campaign/ Campaigns are linked to maps so choose wisely now for which map the campaign is or you may not be able to play the campaign until you will buy/install the map module. At the moment maps are tied to game version too: Georgia is 1.5* only and Nevada 2.* only. Do, or do not, there is no try. -------------------------------------------------------- Sapphire Nitro+ Rx Vega 64, i7 4790K ... etc. etc.
strikers_blade Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 which make total sense now. I should have tought about it :music_whistling: Thanks for the tip Jumbik Campaigns are linked to maps so choose wisely now for which map the campaign is or you may not be able to play the campaign until you will buy/install the map module.
