  1. IIRC, with the middle position set, the autopilot uses your last trimmed heading rather than a set waypoint, so your heli maintains the direction you were pointing when you released the trim switch and sets a caret in the hud. It's a useful option. I'm sure it was a source of frustration thinking you'd switched to DH/DT though!
  2. Thanks, I'll try it. I do have that selected for all my other modules so the Mosquito probably needs it too!
  3. Just checking if other MSFFB users have an issue... I've set up trim using the hat switch plus L ctrl for pitch/roll and L alt plus hat switch for rudder. Aileron and pitch trim are reversed. Aileron cockpit indicator moves as expected but pitch trim is affected. Same with operating pitch trim, roll attitude is changed. Same if I use the default keyboard assignment. Just me? I've run a repair. Thanks!
  4. I've found I need to mess around with the FF tune for every module bought, helo or fixed wing. MSFFB is old but still good to fly with I think.
  5. The flag animation is running at too high a speed on the USS Chosin in the Supercarrier F18 Cold Start mission. I appreciate it's a small thing and probably not related to the SC. The animation of the flag on the carrier itself looks correct.
  6. Hey Jarhead, I'm all for anxiety and angst. I see we have the same forum join date.
  7. At the top it says "Introducing DCS Supercarrier by Eagle Dynamics"
  8. My system is based around a core 2 duo E8400 at 3gHz. 8gb ram with an RX580 8gb gpu. Win 10. It's fine with the F14 on Caucasus and Nevada. Not tried it on MP or heavy SP missions but the Tomcat is such a well made module even basic stuff like circuits and nav is very satisfying. One day I'll buy a new motherboard etc but this one runs pretty much everything I want.
  9. Anyone else having this issue? Recently bought the F5 and it's tricky keeping level with all that force! Edit - Managed to sort the trim out. Watching the control position indicator I realised that the forces didn't move correctly while adjusting the trimmer. I experimented with the FF settings and all was fine.
  10. Thanks for the replies! I found a solution. For some reason the default binding of R shift + home/end keys didn't work. I changed it to R control + home/end and suddenly the right throttle moves to idle as it should. Maybe a problem with my keyboard. When I get back to my pc I'll check! I'm using the beta version btw. Don't have the release currently installed but I can try 2.x later and see what that does.
  11. Just purchased in the October sale and I'm having the same problem as the OP. Works fine up to starting RH engine. I apply air and it spools up past 10%. Press highlighted engine start and advance throttle to idle but the throttle does not move forward to the idle position so no engine start. Non-steam version.
  12. Eagerly logs in to account to check bonus amount... Discovers $19 bonus expired a couple of weeks ago.

    Tutorial?

To the OP - Unfortunately the thread hasn't worked out how you wanted, which is a shame. Constructive discussion over the tutorials would be good for everyone. Without being rude I think you have a small problem with the way you communicate which comes over as brusque and has set a few teeth on edge. That's just my opinion. Your English is definitely good enough. It's just the way you used it here. I hope you post more.
  14. I think it's come about 'due to unforeseen difficulties' of which both parties involved are royally fed up. As I see it, this emergency method of release is a way for the community to pay for Starway's 12 months of work. You could say he's holding folks to ransom but on the other hand he's put in a big effort and deserves some reward. I've donated too.
  15. What they said. I think a Pucara would be fine, but there are so many mainstream gaps still to be filled. I understand the passion someone might have for a particular aircraft and that could be enough to carry the project. Maybe as an FC3 level package with the Sea Harrier and Falkland scenery...
  16. I'd be looking to see if the control inputs actually do what they're supposed to. Cntl+Enter to bring up the display and check. That should show up any conflicts/wrong assignments.
  17. Thanks, not too long ago then. Nevada with the terrain shadows looked very very nice. I only need the time to explore it properly.
  18. I noticed the F86 has a proper metallic texture. Is this new or has it been tthere for a while? Looks good, whichever.
  19. Maybe practice flying a proper circuit and time yourself downwind before turning base leg. Obviously this will vary with different aircraft and speeds and you'll need airport charts for altitudes. When you've got the picture of how it should look straight in approaches will be easier.

    New to DCS

Tango777 - I assume your joystick has a usb connection. I'm not sure if it's a force feedback model but don't think that makes any difference. I've just checked with my sidewinder. In the control options I select Axis commands from the dropdown menu and click the throttle/rudder/axis I want in the third column (which is labelled for my joystick). Then I use Clear to delete whatever is there and Assign which brings up a dialog box. Moving the throttle or whatever is instantly detected. I'm not using W10, mind. Good luck.
  21. There's several differences between those shots, as well as areas that obviously wip. You'd need to know exactly which model the rl aircraft is.
  22. My first flight after updating had a similar problem!
  23. Have you logged in to 2.0? Silly question... I've noticed the last couple of updates to 1.5 have copied information from my 2.0 install, so they should be moving closer together.
