Pikey Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I popped into CA for the first time in a while and noticed the curves of the ground and how the roads seems to stick to it rather than floating the way they used to. Is this the new terrain engine format finally working? When did it arrive? ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Grimes Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Well if its all brown and desert looking... yeah the quality is a bit upgraded :music_whistling: On the Black Sea though I'm not sure. I remember the floating roads issue being very hit and miss. Some areas had roads that fit the land perfectly, other areas not so much. Aginor Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Yes, Nevada does it much better. On the Caucaus map I think it hasn't changed lately. In most areas the streets look ok, but whenever streets go over hills or similar terrain they have some errors. Still great for a flight sim engine I might add. Rabb Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Concerning Caucasus map, roads still hang above ground which is quite visible at hills/mountains, as some other layers at some places.
