OldE24 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 (edited) i've read the post about what ever......but there's no way your gonna peg the airspeed going down hill and the thing would shake it self apart at that airspeed. the retreating blade stall/VNE doesnt seem right at all. I know with a RIDGED/SEMI it will pitch violently nose up and correct it's self but it's different with HUEY tetering but still that VNE is there for a reason and when you PEG the needle like it lets you going down hill that thing would shake it's slef to death. Rogue Trooper Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 At what speed are you bombing along downhill? HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. OldE24 Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 you can MAX the airspeed out over 140 going down hill and yeah it tries to roll over alittle but it shouldnt just fly 150+knots loaded 8700k@4.7 32GB ram, 1080TI hybrid SC2
Rogue Trooper Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Are you diving at the same collective setting to follow the contour of the hill or dropping collective to drop with the hill when you get those speeds? lately, I generally hold 130 as my max speed so I have not really pushed the Huey beyond when it comes to speed. I tend to just drop collective and hold the nose level whilst following the contour of the hill down. I will give it go next time I play. The Hip for sure is quite nasty once the retreating blade limit is hit. Rogue Trooper Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I gave it a go and yes the Huey just keeps going regardless of speed. A little dip into retreating blade but that seems to be it.... surely there is a penalty to be paid.
