papa turtle Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 after patch i tried a cold start up took off and noticed the aileron was not working tried several times is maybe bug? thank you for your support
Buzzles Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 You need to turn the aileron booster on now before takeff. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
some1 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 As the name implies, this is a booster, not a kill switch. Without boosters the pilot still should be able to control the aircraft, although with more effort and probably not at higher speeds. Snacko Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 When is it necessary to switch on the Aileron Boosters? Is it always necessary? Someone told me it is only during cold weather? Or certain situations..? Snack Officer Intel I9-10850K (OC @ 5.0ghz) │ 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3200 │Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24gb - ҉ - Blackshark Cockpit Trainer - ҉ - ♣ Thread | ♥ Download
Spectrum Legacy Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 When is it necessary to switch on the Aileron Boosters? Is it always necessary? Someone told me it is only during cold weather? Or certain situations..? It is not necessary for ground handling, but if you want to fly, you need the booster. Well...I reckon the person in question referred to cold-start scenario, not the weather itself :D If you start hot (with engine already running, or even in-flight) the switch should be already on. some1 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 On the real aircraft the hydraulic boosters help the pilot overcome aerodynamic forces on the control surfaces. You can still control the aircraft without them in an emergency but normally it's always on. In game it's a magical kill switch that locks ailerons in place, even though you still can move the stick that should be mechanically connected with ailerons.
