drack Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 What is the lowest setting to be able to get cockpit shadows? I haven't quite managed to get to grips with this one yet but I think it is medium? It's sad to see that it is gone as an individual option. Do you think we will get it back as medium shadows is a big resorse eater/fps eater?
Valinor Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 It's the Low settings i think. With Flat only you won't get the dynamic shadows in the cockpit
Kuky Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 It's the Low settings i think. With Flat only you won't get the dynamic shadows in the cockpit Correct, LOW is the lowest setting to get dynamic shadows in cockpit (but they will not be as sharp as on higher setting, due to lower resolution of the shadow texture) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
EntropySG Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) btw, if I may ask, I experience a really ugly 'flicker' on the cockpit shadow. I assume this is not a general problem, but rather something that is specific to my system. Any idea coming to your mind Kuky by chance? edit: using the A10C its mostly visible as the shadow behind the yellow steeering bar on the ADI Edited March 3, 2016 by EntropySG [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
