Rocket depression angle

I was wondering, what is it for? I'm having a hard time hitting stuff with rockets, because they fly off at an angle. I need to aim slightly above the target. How should I set the depression angle for optimum efficiency?

 

Also, Chuck's guide says that for dive bombing the wepons should be in "Sight Camera and Radar" mode, but for rockets it should be set to "Guns". What is the difference?

Look at the end of this video and you'll see how I fire rockets from about 6000 ft at a 30 degree dive and hitting my target using a 50 mil depression of the sight in mode "Rockets".
