0xDEADBEEF Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 There seems to be too little rudder authority on crosswind takeoffs. in a Su27 i only need little inpunt (but clear input), but in the mirage is need to max it out, and apply full left footbrake to keep it barely center in the runway. If I'm too late, it just goes off the runway.

Azrayen Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 On a side note: + take-off buster This is forbidden IRL with the M-2000. Full Afterburner use is mandatory for every take-off.

Zeus67 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Good to know, thanks. What is the reason? The big delta wing acts as an air brake on low speeds. This is why they keep the nose up after landing. The only way to counteract that is by raw power thus the afterburner. 0xDEADBEEF Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 Yes Fires conditions are about the same as the Mission i was flying, except i went full burner always. Btw speaking of the Takeoff. I noticed some weird FBW behaviour, if you start pulling the stick too early, the FBW would nose-up very rapidly when takeoff speed is reached causing buffeting and speedloss. It does not easily nose up like in previous versions an would only go back to normal if you push the stick forward. I don't know if this is how it should behave (I have to admit I never flew the real mirage), but it at least feels very awkward.
spiddx Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Is there any chance this fix makes it to the stable release patch which is probably due shortly? Taking off and especially landing without chute is really messy right now. :) (combination of this bahaviour making aerobraking difficult and the new weaker wheel brakes) Edited March 13, 2016 by spiddx Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds
