Guest Cali
You just have to try out different drivers to see which one works best for you. Just because a new driver comes out doesn't mean that it is better then the last one. I'm using 6.7's as well and I'm getting shimmering in the water. I have my water set to high and I using Enhanced FPS Water Mod by D-scythe. I'm going to disable it and see if it fixes it, if not I can try a few more ideas. Guest Hell Sqn Protos
S~! So far Catalyst 6.6 seems to give best results. My graphics are set using LOFC and my resolution is 1280x1024 Under the 3D tab - all settings - try the following. AA 4 AF (Application Controlled) Catalyst AI to Advanced Mip Map level Quality Vertical Refresh Off the go to API settings and check triple buffering. This will keep your screen from tearing with vsynch off. You will find that driver settings have less of an impact on performance than things that are controlled by LOFC such as water quality and static object range, heat blur ect ect........ The best speech recognition software I have found for any sim is VAC system http://www.dwvac.com/ Good luck.
Mustang
I use Cat 6.7 with my X800XT, its a fine driver with Lockon. go to API settings and check triple buffering. This will keep your screen from tearing with vsynch off. this only applies to OpenGL apps, Lockon is Direct3D so it'll have no effect.
