bunraku Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Just was doing a mission there and my GBU-38's said align in the DSMS and the stations showed white and wouldn't release. A minute later they went green and would release. Never happened before and not sure what's causing it. I aligned back at home field so not sure if related or something else? Thanks
EasyEB Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 They lose their alignment if you fly straight for a while. If you turn or just jiggle your wings they snap right back into action. 1

Not seen that before and you'd think it was the opposite and straight and level keeps the alignment and jiggling would upset it. Thanks
EasyEB Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Well, it's the INS that loses track when it's kept at a constant speed at a somewhat constant angle in a somewhat constant direction for a while. It gets bored during long flights and falls asleep because of no swoosh swoosh bang bang.
