nomdeplume Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Well, that's interesting. I don't know what to make of it, but most of the time is being spent in state "BtwnRenders" which I assume is "everything except rendering". So that implies it's very unhappy about something on your system. Two of them are showing nearly 2.5 seconds, and the 3rd is still spending a quarter of a second. Just to be certain, you get this behaviour in all M-2000C missions? Do you know how to use the mission editor enough to make an empty mission with nothing but you're aircraft and see if that makes any difference? If it's still bad, maybe try switching it to an AI M-2000C so you're spectating - does it only happen if you're in the cockpit? On that subject, if you hit F2 or F10 or something to switch out of the cockpit view and go external or to the map, does the framerate recover? If it does that'd point to something to do with the cockpit rendering, if not then maybe flight modeling or other systems. Finally, are you able to have Resource Monitor open and check if you've got any disk activity? The extreme time involved suggests it could be waiting for I/O or similar. You can get to the Resource Monitor by opening the Task Manager, going to the Performance tab, and clicking Resource Monitor... at the bottom. Then click on the Disk tab to bring up info about the disk subsystem. Or if there's other programs you prefer to use, use them instead - basically just looking for any kind of explanation as to what the heck the game is spending all that time doing. Oh yeah and of course - what's the DCS.exe process CPU usage when it's crawling along like that?
Bolt1 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 On the resource monitor , I'm just using the Mig21 as a base comparison to the Mirage because its comparable to my other modules . Mig-21 : Commit is 3,809,708 KB with 2,262,616 Working . Mirage : Commit is 4,403,872 KB with 2,614,120 Working it doesn't matter what view I use for Mirage ..FPS is still 1-2 . This is the only module I've done the in game download with . All the others I downloaded off DCS web page ..activated them in game and I have had no issues at all with them .
Bolt1 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 I did setup a Mirage AI in Mission Editor . FPS was outstanding and there were no issues.. attached screenies
Kayos Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I did setup a Mirage AI in Mission Editor . FPS was outstanding and there were no issues.. attached screenies Did you try changing the Mirage AI in Mission Editor to Player to see if it works? I'm wondering if it's just that startup mission that is causing the issue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
halfcard Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Same here... Bolt1, you're not alone. I also installed it yesterday for the first time and am suffering the same issue. I didn't find this post so raised it here (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=165063) but will continue on your original thread. I use FaceTrackNoIR instead of TrackIR. Before I posted I also tried; 1) killing other running apps 2) switching to low res. 3) stopping FaceTrackNoIR. I can say though that after running it a few times I did notice a slight improvement - I wondered if it was something to do with textures but there are other mirages in the mission that run smoothly (like the ones I see immediately after my one's blown up!) I'll follow up shortly with system specs screenies and hopefully a video if I can manage it. Edited April 19, 2016 by halfcard
halfcard Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Logs attached OK - Here are my logs and the system spec is as follows: Windows 10 Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 Cores) 6GB RAM 120GB SSD AMD Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 Screen Res 1440 x 900 I'll attach a video if I can. P.S. - Can an Admin move this to Bug Reports so that it gets some attention from the Devs?Logs.zip Edited April 19, 2016 by halfcard
halfcard Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Video of issue Now with added video evidence Edited April 19, 2016 by halfcard
Azrayen Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I had a similar problem with the MiG-21BIS a few monthes back. Can't remember the solution (nor if it was on my end or needing a fix from the editor). So not very helping, I know, just to tell you that while I do not reproduce the issue with the M-2000 so far, I have no problem believing your description is accurate. And this kind of issues may take time to understand (and solve). Keep faith and continue to investiguate! :)
halfcard Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Thanks for the support. I just need a fix as otherwise this has been a waste of $52 . I've tried everything I can think of from my end.
Bolt1 Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 I had to reinstall DCS World and that fixed the Mirage problems . now I get kicked off game sometimes with " DCS stopped working " BS..I always log in as administrator so that's not it..all drivers are updated so I'm still working that one ..but hey I can fly the Mirage now. :smilewink: I just need to get the DCS not working issue resolved and they need to patch the Mirage because the missile breaking lock is getting annoying .
Xenovia Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Don't know what your issue is, it might be hardware related, i don't have a single problem [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
halfcard Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Re-installation hasn't helped for me. My new Mirage is unplayable :(
Zeus67 Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Thanks for the support. I just need a fix as otherwise this has been a waste of $52 . I've tried everything I can think of from my end. Have you tried killing the mirrors? "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
halfcard Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) Sorry for the issues halfcard, no one on the team has been able to recreate this issue let us know if you get more details. Do you see this at all with other modules? I don't have any problems at all with other modules. They all run at a relatively smooth 15-20 fps. Are there any additional logs or details I can provide to assist in diagnosis? I've tried with mirrors on and off and they don't make any difference. I've tried re-installing my video drivers and even flashed my video card AMD Radeon HD 5770 with the 'latest' firmware. I've just had AMD System Monitor running in the foreground and when I'm in pause etc the GPU utilization is maxed out. When I start flying/unpause it drops to 0%! - Log is attached.. I unpaused at 16:19:20 (check row 17, column R if you open in Excel). You can see it starts to improve again after my plane has crashed! :(AMDPM 27-4-2016 161905.zip Edited April 27, 2016 by halfcard
