Guest Cali Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 For those who are interrested in the Trumpeter SU27 1:32 scale, i am building one, buty it needs a lot of correcting and it's huge. See my post on ARC if you like. http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=55196&hl=another+flanker Chears Very nice model and the work is superb. That is too detailed for me to do, I like it though. I see mistakes in mine but I'll live with it, they aren;t that big. 1:32 scale is a huge mofo.
51GRIZZLY Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Eh ... Pilotasso .... if you claim not to hate the Flanker ..... why do you shoot so many of them down? :detective: :D
Guest IguanaKing Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Hey Wasserfall, Is that the pit that came with the kit, or did you have to get an aftermarket pit? I'm building the Trumpeter A-10 and the cockpit detail is almost non-existent, which is really strange since the rest of the model is excellent in its level of detail. Very nice work, BTW!!!

Pilotasso Posted September 3, 2006 Author Posted September 3, 2006 Eh ... Pilotasso .... if you claim not to hate the Flanker ..... why do you shoot so many of them down? :detective: :D The flanker IS one of the most aesteticaly pleasing aircraft of all, no doubts there. When I buy a kit I buy it after my interest in having a representantive of the aircraft I find in any of my simulations. Besides I like destroying beatiful aircraft in a spetacular fashion rather than shooting down ugly ones. Gives no rush. :) .

The Trumpeter seat is actually top notch. The Verlinden panel is a bit different from most, all of the instruments are holes you drill through the resin of the panel. The background provided left a lot to be desired, so I scanned it, and then replaced all the instruments with the ones in the LOMAC A-10 pit. I printed it on photo paper and it came out perfectly. I'm still working on painting the seat, so far I haven't had much luck finding something small enough to successfully paint the black stripes on the sides of the ejection handles. I'll probably end up using the edge of an old X-acto blade.
