jfri Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 In both default missions and user campaign operation save red badger I find that the menu item for wingman (and flight) is printed in black. I suspect this means I can't communicate with them. I can issue orders to be called out but don't get any confirmation back (unlike in instant action). I don't see why ? Do I need to use another frequency ? If so which ? I don't find any info about this in the briefing or knee board.
Braeden108 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Radio colors have meaning, black means that your radio is off. Grey means the radio is on but not tuned right. White means on and ready to go. So switch the UHF radio on and give it a try. However for me everything will be on and good to go but my wingman just wont respond to my calls. I'm tuned right because he gives target location call outs. Maybe he's deaf? Light the tires kick the fires! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

The radio you are on will appear above the command window when you go to transmit a message. You can hear all 3 of them when receiving. Radio select functions are on the Mic Switch. Forward for AM, down for UHF, and back for FM IIRC. Xxx Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Or you could select "easy radio comms" from the main menu. Thereafter, you can talk to anyone, on whatever radio, without tuning it.;) "Auto" will appear above the radio menu. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]i7 Haswell @ 4.6Ghz, Z97p, GTX1080, 32GB DDR3, x3SSD, Win7/64, professional. 32" BenQ, TIR 5, Saitek x55 HOTAS. karl_T Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hmm... I have a similar problem, that only occurs during Georgia Hammer campaign. Wing calls out targets and I can hear him. However, when I transmit commands to him, he remains silent.
